Reflective tape is not enough just stuck on you. This must be some type of apparel to make you stand out to vehicles that is worn as your top layer or over your top layer. Blinking safety vests, bright jerseys, reflective vests, they all work. If you have any questions about what you plan on wearing just email us a photo of it. firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep in mind there’s plenty of cycling gear out there that fits this criteria that’s tight and aero and will not affect your ride time.

Whistle & Compass
Since we are requiring each athlete to have a charged cell phone with them at all times we are allowing each athlete and support to use the compass on their phones. Obviously a full charge on the phone is very important and required. Please be sure that you’ve worked out a way to keep your phone charged as most phones will run out early on the run without additional charging. There are plenty of cheap, small, light external batteries and cords you can use to charge your phone on the run without even noticing it. Also make sure your compass app is calibrated and does not depend on reception as you will not always have good reception.
